Mr Farhat is a Managing Partner at DEP and currently assumes the roles of Chief Operating Officer and
Manager of DEP Electrical and IT departments. He has more than 14 years’ experience in the field of
engineering design, design management and project development throughout his career in the MENA
region.
Graduated from École Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Beyrouth (ESIB), with an Electro-Mechanical Diploma
and a Master in Electrical Engineering, Mr Farhat professionalism and persistence have led him, since
the early beginning of his career in Dar Al-Handasah Shair & Co. (Beirut), to gain an extensive
experience in engineering design and to manage and direct multi-disciplinary projects, making him the
youngest projects director in DEP.
Mr Farhat has been an engineering practitioner; researcher and instructor. He has managed all aspects
of major international projects running the gamut from concept design, design development,
shopdrawings and construction follow-up to post‐delivery and support.
Mr Farhat is a process and controls oriented professional and brings a unique set of skills and high level
of competency to successfully manage large and diverse teams to simultaneously deliver end‐to‐end
design packages of multiple high‐value projects.
Project involvements included Hospitality & amp; Leisure, Residential, Commercial, Airports, Infrastructure and
Industrial.
